In May 2018, the counselors challenged Shiloh Middle School teachers and staff to decorate their classroom/office doors in a college theme! Doors were judged on student involvement, creativity, attractiveness, knowledge gained, etc.! Here are some of the doors from our contest!

Previous Years' Highlights: School Year 2016-2017
The counseling department's Advisory Council met on Friday October 7, 2016 to go over our program goals, data, duties and responsibilities, and more. This is a wonderful opportunity for the counselors to educate our stakeholders, as well as get vital feedback! **A special "Thank you" to our district's School Board Member, Dr. Robert McClure, for attending our Advisory Council meeting! Your support is appreciated!

Also during the month of October, Shiloh Middle School is celebrating "NATIONAL POSITIVE ATTITUDE MONTH!"
To see what SMS did last year, watch the video below!
School Year 2015-2016
The counseling department concluded National Positive Attitude Month with the "Wall of Positivity!" Students wrote positive quotes, sayings, song lyrics, and messages for this wall. It is located on "Main Street" so it is visible throughout the day by all students! Ms. Beavers, Ms. Frierson, and Mrs. Paris would like to thank Shiloh Staff and Students for making National Positive Attitude Month INCREDIBLE! #SMSPositiveVibes
Ms. Reynolds and Ms. Paris Wingate the annual Georgia School Counselor Association's conference in November. It was an excellent professional development experience.
The counselors have been delivering core curriculum lessons on bullying and peer conflict. These lessons are delivered in each team's science classes. It is a wonderful way for the counselors to interact with all of the students on their grade level!
October is National Positive Attitude Month! The Counseling Department has several activities planned throughout the month for students to show their positive attitude!
